We have several dates available for our Beekeeping Taster day experience in Cheshire during the active beekeeping season. The available dates are shown below.
Taster Day experience
There is a lot of interest in bees and beekeeping these days. Would you like to find out what bees and beekeeping are all about? Do you think it might be interesting to keep bees, but don’t know what is involved, or how to get started? Our Taster Day experience will give you an overview of the craft of beekeeping, starting with a presentation about honeybees at the Windmill Inn in Whiteley Green. This is followed by a buffet lunch at the Windmill Inn. After lunch the Taster day moves to the apiary where you get the full beekeeper experience by donning a beekeeping veil for a practical demonstration. This gives you the opportunity to get up close to the bees!
Beekeeping veils are provided for the practical session. You need to bring wellington boots and a pair of washing up gloves. Please wear long trousers.
If you would like to book a place as a gift for someone, gift vouchers are available. Once you have booked a place, the confirmation email will give details of how to request a complimentary gift voucher.
The cost of the day is £47 per person, which includes tea/coffee and a buffet lunch at the award winning Windmill Inn.
